As part of the work of UMP deputies, led by Jean-Francois Cope, Franck Perrier was invited to participate in the debate on the report " Ethics of Digital . The purpose of these discussions is to identify issues for Internet users and those involved in public life.
2 questions are central to these debates:
- How to protect, promote and update the digital sphere, the gains that we value? Individual freedom, right to privacy, protection of privacy ...
- How to put digital at the service of an ethical progress? freedom of information, intellectual property law ...
Update FP following the debate:
My view has been alert to the limits of the role of legislator facing cross-border Internet and evolving much faster than the pace of the legislature, and the necessary freedom to develop new business models. Through their comments, it is clear that the established players, Lagardère and Vivendi present yesterday for example, have not captured and integrated in time the impact of the Internet on their models. Keep your distance to meet their demands.
Let's also room for self-regulation and more flexible bodies. The CNIL is a good example of governance, which relays the values of our country.
